Loving home for an abandoned child: Achumi is a beautiful girl who lives in our Mercy Home. She comes from a background of poverty and loneliness. Her mother left her and her three siblings when she remarried. Due to depression, Achumi’s father did not come home to care for his children. He left the village and has not been heard from since. Their sick grandmother cared for the children. Achumi was sent to an uncle’s house to serve as a maid, but being too young for the work, soon returned home. How wonderful that she then was able to come live in the Mercy Home, where she no longer spends her childhood working as a servant in someone’s house. Now she can grow up with dignity and freedom. She enjoys music, singing and dancing to every song that she hears. She spreads a lot of joy through her smile and is doing very well in school.
