In India, there are millions of men, women, and children with mental and physical disabilities. They are the unwanted of society and often rejected by their families. Many disabled children are either hidden, exploited, or forced to beg for money on the streets. Often, disabled women and girls are left in mental institutions where deplorable conditions and abuse are the norms.
One of the ministries HOMM has is caring for the disabled. We provide a safe and loving environment whereby hope, dignity, and identity can be regained for each individual. The disabled home currently cares for over 50 disabled children and adults in India. We provide food, clothing, medical care, physical rehabilitation, job skills training, and an opportunity to experience Christ in their life.
New Homes for the Disabled
Immediately we need homes for 35 people with disabilities. Right now, minors and adults live together on one campus. Recently the government asked us to move all the adults from the campus and provide them separate living facilities. Most of them are orphans and have no other place to go.
We have been praying for God’s provision to start the project. God has already provided the land. Our goal is to build three buildings. The first will be a home for 25 men, the second building will be a home for ten ladies, and the third will be used as a kitchen, dining hall, and office. This facility will provide a safe and loving environment for 35 people with disabilities. We are planning to finish the project by the end of 2021. Because of generous donations, we have completed the boundary walls and men's home. We have already started the kitchen, dining hall, and office construction.
To construct these buildings, HOMM needs to raise around $125,000. So far, we have raised $69,298, $55,702 is still needed. Would you please consider financially partnering with HOMM to build these homes for 35 disabled orphans? 100% of your donation will go towards the building project. Donations are tax-deductible. Thank you for your support!
